Book Projects

In 2017, I worked with acclaimed photographer Elliott Erwitt to produce Pittsburgh 1950, a look at the master photographer's lost negatives from the earliest stages of his career. I found these negatives years earlier while conducting research as a student at the University of Pittsburgh. To my surprise, Erwitt had lost track of these negatives, which encompass some of the first assignments of his 70+ year career. Together, with the help of Stuart Smith and GOST Books, we edited and published a selection of these never-before-printed photographs.

Read more about the book in The New York Times, National Geographic and Magnum Photos.

Pittsburgh 1950 is available from Amazon or GOST. Includes essay by Vaughn Wallace.
